Dubai: A new land border is opening between Oman and the UAE.

The Dibba border crossing, which connects Oman's northern governorate of Musandam and the UAE's emirate of Fujairah, will officially open on Wednesday, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) said.

The Dibba border crossing will facilitate both passenger and cargo traffic. The new land border crossing is aimed at attracting more tourists from the neighboring country to Musandam, which is also a major tourist destination in the sultanate. The new border crossing will also help facilitate travel for citizens and residents of both countries.
