Dubai has indeed been expanding its Golden Visa program to attract various categories of investors and professionals, including yacht owners. The Golden Visa scheme allows eligible individuals to obtain long-term residency in the UAE, typically for a duration of 5 or 10 years, with the possibility of renewal.
Yacht owners are going to get now the benefit from the Golden Visa programme, bringing them long-term residency in Dubai along with the ownership of Yacht, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) said on Monday.
More details are expected to be announced on the long-term residency for yacht owners in the upcoming Dubai International Boat show 2025 which kicks off on February 19 and will last until February 23. This year it is 31st edition of Middle East’s well known Dubai Boatshow.
Under the new initiative for yacht owners, individuals who own yachts of a certain value may qualify for this residency program. This move is part of Dubai's broader strategy to enhance its appeal as a global maritime hub and to attract high-net-worth individuals to the region.
