Dubai tops regional Power City Index

Dubai: Dubai has topped the regional Power City Index, which assesses the strength of cities to attract people from different parts of the world. Dubai has been ranked first locally and eighth globally in the 2024 Global Power City Index. This is the second consecutive year that the city has achieved this feat. Dubai also became the first West Asian city to make it into the top 10 in the ranking released by the Mori Memorial Foundation Institute for Urban Strategies in Japan. The achievement was announced by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, via the X Account.

Sharing the achievement, Sheikh Hamdan noted that the true power of a city is not in its size or population, but in its vision, ambition and ability to inspire the world.
