Dubai: As part of the runway upgrade at Dubai Airport the flight services will be shifted to Al Maktoum International Airport. Due to change of flight services the special bus service has been arranged from Dubai to Al Maktoum airport (Dubai World Central). Buses will depart from the terminals at Dubai Airport.
The Northern Runway will be closed for 45 days from May 9. As part of this, thousands of services a week has been moved to Al Maktoum airport in Jabal Ali. Bus services is now starting to help the passengers to reach the DWC terminals.
These services are useful for those arriving on connecting flights. Free parking is also available at Maktoum Airport. Taxi services are available from here.
Bus service will also be available from Ibn Battuta Mall and Al Ghubaib Bus Station. Services to and from Kochi and Kozhikode Airport are also moved to Al Maktoum, Fly Dubai informed the media.
Apart from this, some of the flight schedules to Chennai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Lucknow in India are also shifted to DWC airport along with the Gulf countries Destinations in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and Oman also operate from Al Maktoum. At the same time, Air India's some services has also been shifted to Sharjah. Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, Mangalore, Trichy, Amritsar, Lucknow and Jaipur trips of Air India are transferred to Maktoum. The Dubai-Kozhikode flight, which will be in service from June 16 to 22 will also be diverted to Sharjah.
