Sharjah: The Sharjah-Kozhikode Air India service will resume on March 28.
This service, which was available every day of the week, was very helpful to the expatriates.
For years, the service has been operated by Indian Airlines flights. It later became Air India. However, due to the continued expansion of Covid-19 these services of Air India have been stopped due to the control imposed on airline services. Air India international flights are now back to schedule since the flight restrictions has been removed.
Flight time from Sharjah and extra luggage during non peak hours was the main attraction for this route to travelers. The special feature of flights to and from Kozhikode from Sharjah is that the time of this trips is at night.
In the respective days, people were able to leave for their home place the same night after coming from work. That is the advantage of this. Departure from Calicut at evening and will be back in Sharjah by the mid night and will be able to enter for the job on the next day.
The departure from Sharjah is every night at 1 am and the flight will reach Kozhikode at 6:35 p.m. Indian time. The return trip will depart at 10 pm from Kozhikode and will reach Sharjah at 12:05 pm.
Initially from Sharjah, the lowest fare to Kozhikode is 430 dirhams with 40 kg in Economy Class and Baggage allowance of 45 kg in Business Class is another speciality.
