Sharjah police introduced the 50 percent discount on traffic fines in 2021 closing, as part of the upcoming UAE's Golden Jubilee celebrations.

The discount scheme will be applied to offences recorded before Sunday, November 21. The discounts will become effective on that day and motorists will have until January 31, 2022 to take the benefits of the offer. This means that the reduction in fines will be available for the payments after Nov 21 until Jan 31, 2022.

Black points on driving license and vehicle confiscation orders will also be cancelled during the period.

Ajman police announce 50 per cent discount on traffic fines

Police said motorists charged with severe offences like doing dangerous acts which endanger others will not be eligible for the relief.

Drivers can pay financial penalties in person at muroor or by online through smart applications and the website of the Ministry of Interior.

On Sunday, Ajman police also announced discounts on traffic fines issued between November 21 to December 31 and would be reduced by half.

The citizens and residents of UAE will unite on December 2 to mark the 50 years since the Emirates was formed on the same day in 1971.

Employees are going to get three days work off, which will extend to four days for many people, to celebrate the UAE's Golden Jubilee.

The public holidays in the country begins on Wednesday, December 1, to mark Commemoration Day, which honours those who lost their lives while serving their country.

This break is immediately followed by a further two days off to celebrate the country’s 50th birthday, on December 2 and December 3.

As December 3 is a Friday, many people may be already have leave on that day. Many employees will receive a total of four days break from work, as December 4 is a Saturday.
