One of the doubtful thing for tourists and expatriates while travelling is the amount they can carry on hand while travelling to a country. Here we give you the answer for this. What's the maximum cash you can carry when travelling to UAE?
The Federal Customs Authority of United Arab Emirates has reiterated that there is no limit to the amount of cash the travellers can carry on hand while flying to or from the UAE.
At the same time, if person flying to the country is carrying with him Dirhams 60,000 or more or its equivalent in other currencies, they must declare the amount to customs officers on arrival. For example if a passenger is carrying Dirhams 70,000 or equivalent is US Dollar 19,000 then he must report to UAE customs upon the arrival at any port of entry.
The customs authority issued the reminder in a Twitter post on Thursday, September 16.
