Covid in UAE: Green pass must for patients, visitors above 16 to access Seha facilities

Starting from Tuesday, patients and visitors over 16 years old will be required to show the green pass on their Alhosn app to enter Abu Dhabi Medical Services Company (Seha) facilities and medical centres, authorities said. The new rule provides exemption for visitors to emergency departments and drive-through testing facilities.

The “green status” (green card) in the Alhosn app appears after a person's PCR test result is negative and this status remains valid for 30 days. "The new announcement follows the latest directive from the Abu Dhabi Emergency Crisis and Disasters Committee approving the use of the Alhosn app green pass, building on the emirate's four-pillar strategy in the fight against Covid19, focusing on vaccinations, contract tracings and a safety entry," said in the message.

Since 20 August, new security measures have been introduced in Abu Dhabi to allow only people who have been vaccinated against Covid and those with a green status to visit public places.

The green pass rules prohibits unvaccinated people from entering shopping centers, restaurants, cafes, shops, gyms, recreation and sports facilities, health clubs, resorts and educational institutions.
