The decision will become into effect starting from Sunday, September 19.
Abu Dhabi authorities have approved home quarantine for people without the use of wristbands for international arriving passengers and those in contact with positive cases.
The decision has taken as apart of the implementation of enhanced precautionary and safety measures, which will go into effect starting from Sunday, September 19.
The person who is tested positive must still wear a wristband, the authorities added.
The Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee for the Covid-19 Pandemic has further approved continued strict adherence to home quarantine procedures and required testing schedules based on personal responsibility, as well as monitoring by healthcare systems to ensure compliance with precautionary measures.
The committee has urged all residents, citizens, and visitors to continue adhering to Covid-19 precautionary safety measures to protect public health and safety, maintain successes, and advance the nation’s sustainable recovery.
