Dubai: Visas for expatriates unable to return to Dubai due to Covid crisis have been extended.

Dubai-based airline Fly Dubai has announced this on its website. Fly Dubai has announced that expatriates from India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Nigeria and Uganda will benefit from the extended visa.

For those residents whose visas expired between April 20,2021 and November 9, 2021, the period will be extended to November 10.

Thousands of expatriates are still stranded in their home countries due to the previous ban on air travel.

It has been informed that the expiry date will not be extended for holders of visas issued in Dubai who have left the UAE before 20 October 2020 and have been residing outside the UAE for more than six months.

  • Please note that if you hold a UAE residence visa, you must not stay outside of the country for more than 180 days.
