Al Hosn App UAE Status

Anyone who took the second dose of covid vaccine six months ago has a 30-day grace period.

The Abu Dhabi authorities stated that a booster must be taken six months after receiving the second dose of Covid vaccine to maintain the vaccination status in the Alhosn app. Anyone who took a second dose of the drug 6 months ago will have a 30-day grace period before their status changes to gray on September 20.

Participants in vaccine trial are exempted and do not need to be boosted vaccination. The update comes as the Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee on Saturday confirmed the entry process for public places — which will be limited to vaccinated citizens, residents and tourists effective Friday, August 20.

The approved program allows access to vaccinated people who have a green status in the Alhosn app, which displays and remains for 30 days after the PCR test result is negative. Vaccine exempt persons with a green status in the Alhosn app can also enter, which appears after a negative PCR test result and lasts for 7 days.

Children under 16 years, is also allowed entry and their status in green will appear in the Alhosn application without testing. People who have not been vaccinated and those who are gray status in the Alhosn app (reflecting the expired PCR test) are prohibited from entering these public places.

The Committee also announced that holders of new residence permits will receive a 60-day grace period for vaccination. The process of entering public places also applies to tourists and visit visa holders, who must also comply with international travel protocols.

The authorities announced last month that they would restrict the entrance only to vaccinated people in a large number of public places, such as shopping malls, restaurants, cafes and all other facilities, including those outside the mall, as well as gyms, entertainment and sports facilities, Events, health clubs, resorts, museums, cultural centers and theme parks.

The list also includes universities, research institutes, public and private schools, and kindergartens in the emirate.

The committee emphasized that the decision was made by the UAE in an active effort to contain the spreading of virus and its mutations. The Committee emphasizes the importance of taking preventive measures and choosing vaccination, because vaccination is the most effective method for sustainable recovery.
