Dubai: Passport holders from India, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Uganda will be able to enter the UAE on a tourist visa if they do not visit the country within 14 days, Fly Dubai said on its website.

This means that you can enter the UAE on a tourist visa 14 days after entering other countries from India. Earlier, many Indians on resident visas stayed in Armenia and the Maldives for 14 days before arriving in the UAE.

The journey through Armenia will cost around Rs 1.5 lakh. Meanwhile, it is hoped that tourist and visitor visa holders will soon be allowed to enter the UAE directly.

Dubai visa holders traveling to the UAE must obtain a permit from the GDRFA and others from the ICA to register for a residence permit.
