The electronic version of the ID card will be available in the UAE smart application ICA.
The UAE Federal Identity and Citizenship Authority (ICA) has begun to issue a new enhanced version of the UAE ID card in the ICA UAE Smart App.

It comes with an easy-to-read QR code for official use by government agencies. Authorities asked ID card applicants to use the electronic version in all government services until their physical card is printed and received by them.
The e-version EID card will have the same validity as the physical version.
