Abu Dhabi's Yas Island will mark the event of Eid Al Fitr with a sequence of astonishing firework displays.

Taking place over 3 nights from the first day of Eid, Yas Island will livestream the colourful fireworks, which will be started from the Yas Bay waterfront for the first time.

The magnificent five-minute activities and display will be broadcasted on the Instagram channel of Yas Island  at 9pm every night, so everybody can experience the show, as gatherings are prohibited as a part of the island’s Covid-19 precautionary measures.

The fireworks show is in partnership with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi).

According to the UAE’s official vacation calendar, citizens gets Eid Al Fitr holidays from twenty ninth of Ramadan to third of Shawaal.

If Ramadan lasts 29 days, the citizens will have four-day off starting from Tuesday, May 11, to Friday, May 14.

But if Ramadan lasts 30 days, employees in the UAE gets a five-day off from the work starting from Tuesday, May 11, to Saturday, May 15.
