Dubai police announced that the gathering of more than 5 people are banned in Dubai. The announcement was made by a top official from police department. The host will be fined Diehams 50,000 for organizing such gatherings and each guest will be fined with Dh15,000.
This is included in the security plan of Dubai Police for the Eid Al Fitr holidays, which will begin on Tuesday, May 11.
Director of the General Traffic Department - Brigadier-General Saif Muhair Saeed Al Mazrouei, said that more police patrols have been deployed inorder to monitor Covid safety protocol violations.
If police found out that more than three non-family members are travelling in one car, the police would fine them.
Major-General Abdullah Al Ghaithi, Director of the General Authority for Security of Bodies, Installations and Emergencies, said officers would patrol malls, beaches, mosques and roads.
More than 3,000 policemen will be deployed in a shift time across the Dubai Emirate. Approximately 500 police cars and 32 bicycle patrols will be monitoring every section and areas of Dubai.
Moreover, around 700 volunteers will be working along with the Dubai Police department to help find out the violators of Covid safety rules.
Emergency Planning
More than 111 ambulances and 72 fire trucks are on standby for any emergency situations, according to the integrated security planning.
Around 24 police patrols and 18 two-wheel patrols will ensure security at the nine beaches in Dubai.
Twenty one additional maritime patrols will ensure security of water bodies, with 42 rescue officials on standby-duty.
The police urged on residents to cooperate with security officials and strictly follow the Covid safety rules to avoid fines.
