The Sharjah ECDMT (Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Management Team) has announced the updated guidelines today 13 April 2021 for travellers regarding Covid-19 testing procedures for arriving at the Sharjah International Airport.

PCR test rules for arriving at Sharjah

Passengers must carry a negative Covid PCR test result which was taken not earlier than 72 hours before the date of travel.

Previously, the timeperiod for the result was 96 hours.

The new guildelines and rules will become effective from fifth day after the announcement.

UAE has recently intensified the Covid tests across the Emirates to curb the spreading of virus.

Passengers will also need to take a PCR test inside the airport after landing at the Sharjah airport.

In Feb 2021 the Sharjah ECDMT has made mandatory PCR test for entering police stations in Sharjah.
