Dubai Residents Aged 40 Can Now Register for COVID-19 Vaccine

The Dubai vaccination campaign is now added to the Dubai residents aged forty and above.

Earlier in February, health authorities declared that priority for the vaccination and taking COVID-19 vaccine was given to senior residents. With 61.41% of elderly residents taking the jab, the total percentage of vaccinated residents has reached to 46.61%.

For those aged 40, the valid residency visa issued from Dubai is a must required item for vaccine registration.

The above rule on the other hand is not required to residents over 60. Senior residents can make the registration for the vaccine regardless of the emirate that issued the visa.

Meanwhile, priority continues to be given to people who suffer from chronic diseases and other people of Determination category and GCC country nationals who hold an Emirates ID.

The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) are providing Sinopharm, Pfizer-BioNTech for those people aged sixteen and above in addition to Oxford-AstraZeneca for people aged eighteen and above.
