The employees working at shops and restaurants in Abu Dhabi who have already taken the two doses of Covid-19 vaccine are no longer required to take PCR tests every 14 days, authorities made the announcement Friday.

In a social media post, the Department of Economic Development in Abu Dhabi (ADDED), stated that the new regulations is applicable to all residents in the emirate who work at coffee shops, restaurants, bakeries, supermarkets, malls and shopping centres, butcheries, and other retail outlets.

The normal Covid-19 PCR tests are still compulsory for employees who are not yet vaccinated, and companies must bear testing costs.

ADDED also reminded that the Covid-19 vaccine is available at all health centres to residents for free.
