The Abu Dhabi Police made the announcement of ban on heavy vehicles, trucks and buses during foggy weather conditions.
The announcement states that the heavy vehicles will not be allowed on the internal & external roads of the Abi Dhabi Emirate till visibility is clear and restored.
The police stated that the move would contribute for the enhancment of traffic safety and make the roads safer.

If heavy vehicles are driven on the roads during the fog, they will be fined with 500 dirhams fine and 4 traffic black points. The violators will get fine and black points as well. The news was posted on facebook by Abu Dhabi police in Arabic, English and Malayalam.
Earlier today, one person was killed and eight other people injured in a 19-vehicle pile-up crash occured in Abu Dhabi. The reason for the accident was because of the low visibility due to the fog.
