New UAE weekend destination: Mangrove beach Umm Al Quwain

The new "Mangrove Beach" in Khor Al Yeefrah, Umm Al Quwain, is now open to public from all Emirates.

The authorities in Umm Al Quwain has opened up a new beach to visitors. The Mangrove Beach is situated in Khor Al Yeefrah, Umm Al Quwain. The mangrove beach is first-of-its-kind beach in the emirate of UAQ (Umm Al Quwain) and the plan is to promote environmental tourism. It aims to highlight the importance of mangroves in UAE.

The Department of Tourism and Antiquities of Umm Al Quwain is in the process of final arrangements for the official inauguration of the beach.

Public facilities are under process of construction on the beach.

Umm Al Quwain is very keen to preserve the mangrove trees in the emirate and keep biodiversity. All of the concerned authorities are exerting high level of efforts to protect the trees.
