Sultanate of Oman will close its borders from tomorrow December 22 (Tuesday) to contain the spread of new Covid virus strain.
Today December 21, UAE officials have urged UAE citizens in the Oman to come back as soon as possible after the Sultanate announced that it would be closing the entry and exit through its land, air and sea borders starting from December 22 (Tuesday).

In a tweet, the UAE Embassy in the Muscat, the capital city of Oman stated: "Given the Sultanate of Oman's decision to prevent entry and exit to the Sultanate through the land, air and sea ports, starting tomorrow morning, Tuesday, December 22, 2020, for a period of a week, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation invites citizens wishing to return to return before closing the ports."
