Below is a tweet post from @icauae reminder for residents to renew EID cards which are expired between March 1st and July 11th. The fines will be calculated as per day Aed 20 and a maximum of Dirhams. 1000 fine will come. Please check on ICA website for the actual fines. Renew your Emirates ID card immediately to avoid more fines.

The grace period to renew EID card without fines ended on 11th October 2020 for cards expired between March 1st and July 11th.

You can use the ICA website and app to make the application yourself. But I recommend to done it through an authorised typing centre since they will able to do the application modification easily if any rejection occurs.
