The passengers who need travelling from India to the UAE is being asked not to submit the hand written RT-PCR test results and certificate to airport officials since these will not be accepted by civil aviation officials and health departments in UAE or India, Air India stated in its recent blog update.

The airline company has released a new list of mandatory requirements regarding negative Covid-19 RT-PCR medical test on its website blog.

  1. The negative Covid-19 RT-PCR medical test result must only be taken from accredited laboratories by the Indian Council of Medical Research, Pure Health, or Micro Health.
  2. The test result should be issued, printed, duly signed and stamped in the original letterhead of the testing lab.
  3. The test result certificate should not be handwritten or have corrections.

The blog of Air India added, "Kindly note that photocopy of the COVID-19 test results will not be accepted." The mandatory 96-hour time frame begins from the time, date the swab, or sample was collected for test. The other type of True NAT/CB-NAAT methodology is not being accepted and only nasopharyngeal and oropharyngeal swab test analysed by Real-Time RT-PCR is accepted."
