The Dubai residence visa holders who wish to return to Dubai must obtain the GDRFA Approval. The confirmation from GDRFA came as shown in the below tweet because of the rumours rounding in the social media saying that GDRFA permit is not required for Returning back to the emirate.
The ICA has earlier announced that the ICA approval is not required for other Emirates- Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Umm al Quwain and Fujairah. But people should register their details in the ICA website and get the confirmation.
But for Dubai residence visa GDRFA permit is still required as per the last tweet.
The residents can book their flight tickets and go for PCR test after obtaining the GDRFA approval permit. A negative Covid-19 test certificate within 96 hours is required for the travelling to Dubai. The rules might change at the time of travel and check with your flight operator for the latest updates.
