DGCA India has withdrawn the approvals for private Jets from flying out to UAE. Private jets - the sole flights that had been flying in dozens of Indians stuck in various states to the UAE. The barring of flights are made by India's Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
The flight operations from India is not happening and neither scheduled or repatriation flights are not flying out from India. Recently some firms have started organizing private jets and were getting popular among stranded expats.
The decision came as an enormous disappointment for desperate expats who try every available options to return to the UAE. Many passengers who were alleged to fly from Mumbai and Hyderabad on July 9 said that they had already purchased their tickets and were "absolutely devastated" following the DGCA's decision.
A seat on private jets costs up to Dh15,000 and the chartered jets were operating after obtaining the required permissions and clearances, said operators.
DC Aviation Al Futtaim, is the sole integrated VIP handling and hangar facility at the Dubai World Central Airport.
The DGCA suspension of flights has lead to the cancellation of the scheduled landing of Challenger 604 aircraft which was planned to land in Dubai on July 8.
As per the received news from "official sources" that the approvals for operation of private chartered jets are barred until July 10.
According to this the flights that had already received approvals also stand cancelled now. Some flights scheduled on July 9 have also been grounded," may be till Independence Day. Some people had able to arrive to the UAE onboard Global 6,000, the business jet organised by a Dubai-based aviation company.
The UAE residents who have commitments in UAE cities are the persons using these personal jets to reach here by using the expensive tickets.
