Indians who have residence visa in UAE and planning to return from India can now get their Covid-19 tests done at laboratory approved by the Indian government before their travel to the emirates, said UAE Ambassador to India Dr Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al Banna on Thursday.
The UAE will accept Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) laboratory results from any lab authorised by the govt of India. Furthermore, Indian expatriates returning to the UAE must get the results 96 hours before their flight departure. The results should be negative. "Any authorised lab by the Indian government authorities should be okay," said by Al Banna.
Meanwhile, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has listed laboratories that perform the real-time RT-PCR test, the TrueNat test, and further the CBNAAT test for Covid-19 across the country.
