COVID-19 PCR Test UAE
There have been some changes in the rules in the UAE starting August 1, 2020 on the Covid 19 rules that passengers must comply with.

From August 1, all passengers to Dubai must have a Covid-19 negative PCR test result from the labs specified by the UAE authorities, announcement by the National Crisis and Emergency Management Authority (NCEMA) and Emirates Airlines on Friday.

The earlier procedure of after getting the ICA approval, people could have taken the Covid test results from the major laboratories and if the test was negative, he could have traveled. This will be changed from August 1.

But from now on, the ICA approval has been suspended for those who have already obtained approval. Instead another link to Pure Health will be available. Go to the new link available and the money for the test must be deposited in a UAE government account. You need to pay Dirhams 221 in the UAE Pure Health website for the test.

With the payment at the link, the list of UAE Pure Health Accredited Laboratories for your area will be available. The testing for COVID-19 is permitted only in the micro-laboratories listed.

Make the payment using the link and take a screenshot of it. Only undergo Covid tests from PureHealth approved micro health laboratories and get the printed certificates from the lab. No need to pay for test in hospitals in Kerala even if it is ICMR approved.

A printed certificate is requested by the airlines to permit you onboard.

After the UAE government checked the result online, the new ICA permit will be approved. Once we receive the new I.C.A Approval you have only 96 hours for travel after receiving the permit.

Those who has received approval from ICA should only buy a ticket for the trip. This rule is also applicable for travellers taking connection flights from Dubai. According to a joint statement by the NCEMA and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC), all passengers travelling through the country's airports to the EU countries and the UK, as well as other countries that require PCR test, have to get tested prior to boarding their respective destination flights.

PCR test certificate only from UAE-designated laboratories

"If the UAE has specified a designated laboratory in the country of origin, then the traveller must obtain the test certificate from that lab. A printed test certificate is must as a digital version on a phone will not be accepted," said Emirates on Friday.

"A negative Covid-19 PCR test certificate is a must if you are travelling from one of the destinations listed below. This rule also applies to those who have travelled from these points to other destinations and have taken an Emirates flight to Dubai."

The mandatory test before travel applies to countries such as Afghanistan, Armenia, Brazil, Bangladesh, Egypt, Eritrea, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Montenegro, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, Russian Federation, Serbia, Somalia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and the USA."

Testing for Children and Insurance

"The test excludes children under the age of 12 and passengers who have a moderate or severe disability," the airline said.

Emirates added that travel insurance with a Covid-19 cover is mandatory or the passengers should declare to bear the costs for treatment and isolation if they don't have insurance policy before travelling.

Similarly, Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways said if Abu Dhabi is a UAE-resident's final destination, it is compulsory to have the approval from the Federal Authority of Identity and Citizenship and the passenger must present a negative Covid-19 PCR test result at check-in. "You will only be permitted to enter the UAE if you are a UAE national or resident with a valid visa," it said.

Covid Testing in Kerala

In Kozhikode district there are micro health laboratories in many cities like Kuttyadi, Thondi Yat, Thamarassery and Kozhikode. Pure Health has set up leading labs in every district of Kerala.

The National Emergency and Crisis Management Authority and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation announce the update of the time period for the negative “PCR” examination result for all arrivals through the country's airports, which must not exceed 96 hours since the date of the examination, instead of 72 hours as previously announced.
