All students, teachers and administrative employees at United Arab Emirates's capital non-public schools should be screened for Covid-19 before returning to campuses for the new school year in Sep 2020.

The Abu Dhabi Department of Education and knowledge (Adek) confirmed the necessity to Media. This policy shall be applied to all or any UAE colleges and schools, in line with a report by Arabic newspaper Al Roeya.

"All employees and students in United Arab Emirates's capital  Abu Dhabi should undergo Covid-19 testing before being authorised to come to the school premises. Details regarding coverage, schedules, and method are declared at a later time in conjunction with relevant authorities," stated an Adek document that was sent to schools within the Capital Abu Dhabi, when they got the green signal to open up in September.

Staff, students and teachers also are needed to install the AlHosn app for contact-tracing, and up to date travel history need to be declared. Masks are necessary and mandatory for college and school students aged over twelve years and anyone coming into the school premises. A table desk shield is suggested as an extra preventative measure, the letter from the Education department added.

Some colleges and schools in United Arab Emirates's capital Abu Dhabi, confirmed that they have received the document.

"The school's Covid-19 task force can perpetually supervise and monitor learning procedures and operations to confirm compliance with Adek's policies and tips". "Amidst these unsettling times, the reopen and return to the school is to be a welcome step."
