The UAE has introduced that COVID-19 test will become mandatory for all inbound and transit passengers, along with Emiratis, citizens, and tourists, arriving through the U.A.E's airports, regardless of the countries they're coming from.

The decision to use prior testing on all the people coming to the UAE will be carried out as of 1st August with out impingement on the mandatory testing measures that travelers must comply with upon arrival on the country's airports.

According to a joint announcement by the National Crisis and Emergency Management Authority, NCEMA, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, MOFAIC, all passengers traveling through the UAE's airports to the EU nations and the UK, in addition to different international locations that require PCR check, must get tested previous to boarding their respective planes.

The statement is in keeping with the U.A.E’s efforts to defend the health and protection of its residents and citizens and decrease the spread of coronavirus.

Children below the age of 12 and people with extreme and mild disabilities could be exempted from the PCR test requirement, which has ninety six hours of validity from the date of testing.

NCEMA and MoFAIC highlighted the need for all airlines working with in the UAE to comply with these requirements.
