The Committee for the Management of Emergencies, Crises and Disasters resulting from the Corona pandemic in Abu Dhabi with the Abu Dhabi Police and the Department of Health-Abu Dhabi announced the extension of the travel ban between the cities of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi (Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra), and to and from the emirate for a period of one week, starting tomorrow, Tuesday, June 16.
The movement ban includes all residents of the emirate, both citizens and residents, and employees of vital sectors, emergency health situations, and movement of goods of all kinds and mail are excluded, while residents of the emirate cities are allowed to move within their city according to the times of the national sterilization program.
This comes with the continuation of the expansion of the national COVID-19 testing campaign to limit the spread of the Covid-19 virus, and the completion of a series of preventive and precautionary measures to reduce contact and maintain the health and safety of community members, where during the past two weeks more than 388 thousand residents of the emirate have been examined.
Movement restrictions exemptions are allowed by special permit for below sections.
- Employees working in vital sectors
- Patients with chronic diseases who need to visit the hospitals
- The transportation of necessary essential goods.
Movement within each region of emirate is allowed in line with National Sterilisation Programme hours.
