Abu Dhabi: The Ministry of Health and Prevention on Friday announced the confirmation of two groups of individuals who must isolate at home.
Individuals who test positive for COVID-19, or who have been in close contact to somebody who has gotten the coronavirus, must remain at home and self-isolate until their next corona virus test.
Breaking this home isolation will bring about a Dirhams 50,000 fine. A second such violation will increase the fine by double to Dirhams 100,000, or a jail term will be put on the person that could lead upto six months.
So as to guarantee that that they are conforming to isolation quarantine requirements, patients who test Covid-19 positive must wear electronic wristbands provided by resting centres, and furthermore download the Al Hosn application on their cell phones.
The Al Hosn smartphone application need to be downloaded when the person receives the test result via SMS or call from the health department. The test outcome decides whether the person or related individuals need quarantine or not.
The removal of wristband is allowed only after the patient is tested as negative for two times. COVID-19 positive patients who don't utilize and use the wristband, and the individuals who don't download and register on the mobile application, will fined Dh10,000, as will the individuals who lose or damage the wristband or disturb the network connectivity of the app.
Moreover, the individuals who damage the wristband should bear the expense of replacement of the gadget.
Then again, individuals who have come into close contacts with COVID-19 positive patients will basically need to self-isolate at home. They will be informed by healthcare officials, when to leave from the home isolation and go for additional testing.
